Strong Women Ambovombe
A multi-age organization of local women in southern Madagascar, consisting of motivated and determined members, many of whom are single mothers. Some face challenges like illiteracy, but all are united by one goal: to achieve economic independence and improve both their own and their children’s lives.
Once a week, the women meet for encouragement and motivation sessions. These meetings are an opportunity to share ideas for new businesses and experiences while strengthening social connections. The meetings serve as a source of inspiration and strength, encouraging every woman in the organization to believe in herself and her abilities.
The organization has a joint fund to which each member contributes a small amount weekly. The women use the accumulated savings to obtain small loans to support children’s education and expand small businesses. The fund provides a stable economic base and security for each member’s future.
The organization, currently numbering about 50 women, works together to ensure their future and the future of their children. The women consistently collect money to achieve their economic security, independence and prosperity. The organization’s members contribute to its success and exemplify women’s determination and strength.
