To combat the consequences of a severe climate incident, we distributed over 2 tons of sorghum seeds to hundreds of families in two remote villages in southern Madagascar. The drought that struck the region broke the seed cycle, meaning villagers needed new seeds to begin planting again but lacked the funds to buy them. A representative from each family received a seed allocation. We managed the registration of recipients and their signatures or fingerprints confirming the receipt of seeds. According to reports, this year’s yield was successful with improved rainfall data, so the seed cycle has been reestablished.
