From Desperation to Rehabilitation
Citrapoo Before Rehabilitation Began
Not long after Eldad first arrived in Ambovombe, he met Citrapoo at the Brazilian aid organization FSF clinic, an incredible initiative which does amazing work. Citrapoo had suffered severe burns in an accident involving boiling water six months earlier. She was treated at a local hospital. Through the long healing process, her knees locked significantly, and she could not walk or stand. She weighed just 30 kg, barely ate, and was apathetic to those around her. Eldad took her under his care, provided her with nutritional supplements, and communicated with her through a translator. In parallel, in collaboration with the FSF clinic, he promoted her hospitalization to improve her leg condition. When she was hospitalized and undergoing leg surgery, Eldad visited her daily, always bringing plenty of food for her from the market. Gradually, she recovered, gained weight rapidly, and found a new enthusiasm for life. Later, the FSF organized a second surgery performed by volunteer doctors from Germany. This surgery improved her condition further. We continue to support her and her family by renting accommodation and providing food, water, and more as her rehabilitation progresses.
